Beyond Rogue...
Giving Back to the Industry:
Greg feels very strongly about giving back to the commercial real estate industry through trade organizations and educational institutions in a volunteer capacity. Greg has been a 30-year member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and, during that time, has been fortunate to have volunteered in various leadership positions: Colorado State Director, Government Relations Chairman for Colorado, Western Region Government Relations Chair, Colorado Public/Private Alliance Chair, and participant on multiple program committees.
During his career, he has also been actively involved with the Colorado chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) as a member and government relations liaison to ICSC. Furthermore, he has served multiple times as a program judge for NAIOP's annual real estate challenge.
Greg has also been engaged with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), participating in a number of multi-day Technical Advisory Panels (TAPs) in the Denver metro area. Lastly, Greg has had the honor to speak to undergraduate and graduate level classes at the University of Denver Burns Real Estate School and the University of Colorado Real Estate Center at the Leeds School of Business, sharing his experiences in real estate development, asset management, and commercial leasing.
Winter Park Ski Patrol/Bike Patrol:
Away from the real estate world, Greg is an active senior ski patroller at both Winter Park Resort and Breckenridge Ski Resort. As a member of Winter Park's Volunteer Ski Patrol, Greg has actively patrolled since 2007. The Volunteer Ski Patrol, in partnership with the Winter Park Professional Ski Patrol, is tasked with providing the Winter Park Resort guest with unsurpassed care covering the areas of Guest Relations, Emergency Response, Mountain Safety, and Community Service. Greg's annual required certifications include Outdoor Emergency Care/EMT-B Certification (OEC), CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Winter Park’s Chair Lift Evacuation.
Since 2007, Greg has either assisted or coordinated the Winter Park Bike Patrol. His involvement typically includes organizing/directing all volunteer bike patrol duties for the Winter Park Competition Center summer race series (Epic Singletrack), comprised of 6-7 cross-country mountain bike races during the summer months (June – September). The bike patrol provides mobile medical care for race participants throughout the duration of the events, each ranging from 4-8 hours.
Breckenridge Auxiliary Ski Patrol:
During the 2016-17 ski season, Greg joined the Breckenridge Auxiliary Ski Patrol, where he volunteers at the base of Peak 8 & Peak 9. There, he provides guests with emergency response for varied medical issues by coordinating with on-hill patrol, EMTs, and the Breckenridge Medical Clinic.
